Loud Energy Drink 150 at NJMP to be Televised
MILLVILLE NJ (9-22-08) - ARCA RE/MAX Series officials have announced the addition of the Loud Energy Drink 150 from the New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) road course to their list of televised events in 2008.
The Sunday afternoon, September 28th event at the new 2.3-mile road course in Millville, New Jersey will currently include multiple tape-delayed airings in at least 51.5 million households nationwide on a variety of cable and network outlets. Additional homes are pending.
"We're pleased to provide production of the Loud Energy Drink 150 at NJMP to the ARCA RE/MAX Series, its fans, teams, drivers and stakeholders," said veteran motorsports commentator Rick Benjamin.
In addition to airing on MavTV, the event will air on MASN (Washington DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia, South Jersey), Comcast Sports Net Philadelphia (Philadelphia, PA), the Lonestar Sports Network (Dallas-Fort Worth, TX), TW Sports (Buffalo, NY), TWSN (Rochester, NY), KC Metro Sports (Kansas City, MO), and national distributors' America One Sports, AMG TV, DIRECTV Sports Pak and DISH Multi Sports Pak. MASN, home of the Washington Nationals, University of Maryland, the Capitols and the Wizards, is also nationally distributed on DirecTV and Dish.
Carolinas Production Group will produce the 150-mile ARCA RE/MAX Series event.
"We'll produce and distribute, via a cable syndication network, a one-hour telecast of the first ARCA road race in more than seven years. It's thrilling to be selected to produce the coverage of this groundbreaking event at a major new motorsports facility in the Northeast, just south of Philadelphia. We expect to add more affiliates as the race weekend approaches.
"I'll be calling the play by play of the ARCA RE/MAX Series Loud Energy Drink 150 event, and will be joined by analyst Scott Sutherland and pit road reporter Don Radebaugh. Scott is a former driver and crew chief, and he's worked with me on major stock car racing telecasts for the past eight seasons. He's been involved in ARCA as a crew chief and team manager very recently and brings tremendous insights to the coverage."
Carolinas Production Group will also produce other events on the same weekend at NJMP to include SPEED World Challenge GT, Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup and Playboy MX 5 Cup.
Three practice sessions for the Loud Energy Drink 150 on Friday and Saturday will precede the race, September 26th and 27th. SIM Factory Pole Qualifying is set for 2:15 PM ET Saturday afternoon. The inaugural Loud Energy Drink 150 is scheduled for take off at 1:00 PM Sunday afternoon.
