Those at the back of the queue have got 2 realistic choices - move to Lane 1 or turn around.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Probably turn around tbh. Nobody's improving.

Master trolling. This is going to be the slowest warmup lap all day.

Also, regarding the order of guaranteed runs: if the weather is any similar to yesterday, an early run would mean much cooler conditions than in the afternoon. You get a surface way friendlier to the tires and more oxygen in the air, with means more horse power. So, the earlier the better. Rahal, Sato and Dixon are almost guaranteed to make it into the Top 9.
Veekay, Pato and Power will be the best Chevrolets for sure! Newgarden didn't look strong in qualifying trim, just as Pagenaud.
And Andretti has the worst of luck again with the draw. In the mid day hat he on't have a chance to make the fast nine.

My fast nine are:
Rahal, Sato, Dixon, Veekay, Power, Harvey, Pigot, Rossi and RHR. In no particular order.

Got 6 right

Andretti was in full on party mode all day and Scott Dixon gave them a hangover within 2 minutes

Never liked him much, but for some strange reason I would really like Marco to win this. A bit of a redemption on a mediocre career.

I don't like this format. I prefer the old school system. Dixon was going fastest, but bailed out. You shouldn't gain from bailing out on a fastest time.

If the old system was in place then you would have had 3 hours of filming an empty pitlane. No-one would have risked it.

EDIT: I tell a lie, Dragonspeed would keep turning laps to gain knowledge.

In the old system you wouldn't gain on posting a slower speed.

Oh, I thought you were referring to the lanes.

Did Dixon gain anything? He was 5th before that run and 5th afterwards.

The "lanes" are stupid and I'm glad they weren't used today. If Dixon would have finished his last run he may have gained a position or two, which may become detrimental tomorrow due to the weather. I guess that's why they bailed.

"Just" 700bhp.

Imagine what happens 3 years from now when they have 8-900.

Right now I’ll just settle for a functioning civilization in three years.
