I've been in these threads for so long I don't think there's anything else left to say

The chance of the big one happening/not happening has been debated to death

The physics of the current aero package vs chances of airbournez has also been exhausted

As has debate of sensational side by side finish with several severe sidewinding snap rolls happening behind vs chances of a blue balls finish.

What's left to talk about?

But it's still DEGA and the damn high speed, high banks and (hopefully) high numbers of cars racing around in a pack together means I still look forward to it like all the cynical things I've been mad about 20 seconds after the finish line of each race are wiped from my memory.

I will tune in to the Cup race for once. Seems like most of the interesting drivers have to finish well to make the next round.

Is this the first year that they don't run Xfinity at Dega in fall or am I mistaken?

Xfinity has never run in the Autumn at Dega, there's never any cars left after the July Daytona race.

So, my girlfriend, who is fairly new to the sport, and I were watching some of the old fall DEGA races on YouTube last night, notably 2001 and 2012. She asked me, "So, does this race always end with only three cars making it back to the finish line cause of everyone wiping out on the last lap?" I said, yep... more times than not. Lol.
