Also Percat took 3rd place, which is an impressive result.

Crazy race. Annoyed at Whincup, you can't come off throttle on the racing line with a car up your chuff and Scotty Macs re-entry was very average as well.

Happy for Tekno, stayed out of trouble and deserved the victory.

Was flicking back and forth between this and the F1 in the dying laps, they couldn't have timed it worse if they tried  , was dissapointed not to see a shoey on the F1 podium but Bathurst made up for it :D

good race as always! Happy to see Tekno get the win after the bad luck they have had over the years.

And what a stupid move by Whincup there.....

He wasn't expecting whincup to come off throttle on the straight on the racing line. He also wasn't expecting Scotty mac to rejoin straight to the middle of the track. Tander has zero blame.

Well, I disagree, he tried to sneak through a gap. It sucks for him, but he took a risk.

Plenty of laps to go and he would've passed them on the next two corners.

Not that i'm bagging Tander. He didn't complain. His boss did.

Red Bull has filed an official protest. I suspect the outcome of this one could take a while to sort out:

Red Bull have a case. McLaughlin caused the crash. Whincup had nothing to do with it. You can't have a winner of a race that leads zero laps. That's just stupid.

Red Bull arent asking for the penalty to be dropped all together are they? The way i read the article is that they are appealing because the penalty is inconsistent with other similar incidents, a good example being the kelly/pither accident early in the race which only garnered a 10 second penalty.
Im certainly not trying to defend whincups actions, nor do i want him to win in this fashion, but its yet another inconsistency in stewards applying penalties

There's also the entire race weekend where the immediate redress was applied.

LOL I know you come here just to troll but this actually takes the cake. Yeah Whincup had nothing to do with it, it's not like he knocked McLaughlin off the race track in a fight for the lead 10 laps from the finish, and then slowed dangerously right on the racing line in front of another driver who was battling for the lead.

Scott McLaughlin handed 25-point penalty for rejoin incident.
