Hamilton's pole time (1'29.493) is the Fastest ever lap round Bahrain.

Yeah, at least 4 cars made 2 attempts, but now 2:30 of nothing.

So Q3 was better than Australia, but the Q2 was worse, imo.

I thought both Q1 & Q2 were worse than they were in Melbourne.

Q3 was better because Ferrari did a 2nd run but ultimately it still wasn't as good as under the old format where more often than not you would have the top 10 all out the end & we still had the positions decided with 3 minutes still to go.

Whatever the format, the results won't be much different than this.

Glad I decided to skip this. Took a walk outside instead and if Jean Todt and Bernie wants it, I make it a healthy habit.

Another shit session.

They say they want a mixed up grid. Hamilton showed how to do it. Give the drivers 1 timed lap.

I fell asleep 5 minutes into Q1, did I miss anything?

No.

Q1 was boring
Q2 was boring
Q3 had a brief bit of interest, when Hamilton messed up his first run and was 4th. Then it was boring.

That's my point. Q1 and Q2 are the same crap as last weekend. Only difference, as I said, is the action happens right away instead of at the very end and now you even got some boredom included. Plus it's also not a real "shootout." For me, this implies some action, drama or whatsoever but if one manages to get the timing right and actually do a lap before the 90s countdown is over, you almost always knew the next one who'll be eliminated with no action to follow again. Very predictable and turning more into a single-lap QLF with 5mins of no action at the end. And Q3, well 4 instead of 10 cars decided to do another lap with only half the boredom of 3mins left. Kinda of reminds me of the SuperBowl when the head coach gets his shower even the game is official still running.

So instead of the first minutes are boredom, the last minutes are. The only thing that has changed is when the boredom happens. What a crime....

Can't wait to see Todt, Bernie and Whiting be crucified. What a glorious day. :innocent:

Oh come on people. There was excitement until the last lap of each driver. Why does it matter if the timer indicates 0:00 instead of 2:00 like today?

For me, this session was as shit as any session since the Q1/Q2/Q3 KO system was introduced: everything happens in the last minutes clusterfuck, you barely get to follow each driver through a whole lap, and the camera remains on the finish line with times rolling like you're on a live timing channel. Last-minute pole positions are overrated as shit.

Can we do that with the rulemakers too please?

F1 is now like trying to attempt to watch porn on a scrambled satellite channel.

Essentially, you're staring at a screen, squinting you're eyes and hoping that every so often you're going to get excited because you're sure you'll see a tit or two. But in reality you'll seen nothing exciting and there's something better on another channel.

I know it's a strange analogy, but some will remember that challenge from the 80's and 90's...
