If you find gravel you deserve a championship point

For anyone watching on the BBC the GP has switched to BBC 2 and coverage starts 10 minutes earlier. Apparently tennis is more important.

Gravel was cool because of how humiliating it was. Not only you just made a stupid mistake that cost you the race, you also have to retire in a huge cloud of dirt and dusty overalls.

bravery should be awarded, mistakes punished

drivers are so used to getting away with every mistake these days and when a driver error and crash happens, teams look for every excuse in the book to prove otherwise

I heard something yesterday about an idea where cars that have all four wheels off track will have the engine cut out to stop any advantage.

Martin Brundle said it.

Which is just stupid.

Gravel and grass and allow cars to receive outside assistance to get going again.

Great! I hope they cut off the engine permanently. Everyone would be dnf before half way and we can all avoid watching boring cruising around.

So when you've got multiple cars off the track like in the GP2 race earlier, everyone's engines will cut out at different times and you'll have an even bigger pile up. Genius

It always seems a little odd deciding the 'best of' before things are properly finished. A bit like awarding man of the match 10 minutes from the end.

Much of what was showed on Tv regarding past season I cant even remember.

Tells a lot about how the year was (and probably more so about my declining interest)

Only positive thing in this race is that it is shown FTA here, so no need for choppy stream. Unfortunately HD channel is encrypted so SD for me.
