lol NASCAR consistency

The last paragraph is possibly the most mind numbing thing about it. NASCAR thinks on track incidents aren't safe, but they'll be completely fine if someone beats the ever loving tar out of another driver?

NASCAR logic: Driving through an active garage at 50 mph while people are in there working on their cars is safe, but running someone over at Martinsville at roughly the same speed, on track isn't?

NASCAR was always gonna be criticised no matter what they did about this, but I'm glad to see they're actually taking action on this. I just wish it happened to Earl years ago when he tried to kill Kez, seems a bit odd that they throw the book at a generally clean driver like Kenseth first.

I guess they realised they had to grow some balls and come down harder.

Horse should have been banned back then, it would have sent the exact same message this ban will.

Honestly though I did think maybe a one race ban if at all, two races is a big surprise.

Two races, so that he will be back at Homestead. They can't possibly miss the opportunity to pimp the fuck out of the DRAMA.

JGR is appealing, I think they have a good case with the inconsistencies of the penalties and making shit up on the spot.

You do realize that that will hurt their appeal as NASCAR can be like, WELL WE ARE DIFFERENT NOW. WE'VE CHANGED FROM OUR PAST WAYS. <3 <3 <3 ...you know how those ex-gfs text go?

Who does the appeal go through? I was hoping it'd be with someone that has half a brain unlike NASCAR themselves.

while I agree that Kenseth should be penalized for waiting on a other driver while being laps down, what about everyone else that has done similar on & off track incidents this season?

NASCAR being inconsistent as always I see.

This is hilarious*.

Somewhere, NASCAR's marketing department is praying Logano doesn't make the Chase, so he won't have any reason NOT to commit vehicular manslaugher on Kenseth at Homestead on live national television.

* By hilarious, I mean tragic and insulting. Fuck this company.

Edwards puts Kesowski in the fence on multiple occasions and on his roof once, all in a short space of time and NASCAR barely batters an eyelid. Kenseth puts a kid in the fence once and Nascar loses their minds.

I think it's a good call that looks weird in a sea of bad calls (or non calls) in similar situations. But the thing is, at some point things need to change. So that first moment of change will always get people whipped up. Kenseth was just unlucky that he's the first one to take the hit.
