Now this vignette is easily one of the most grotesque and tacky things I've ever seen.

It couldn't have been invented by anybody else other than Globo TV, a company that has specialized itself in ridiculing itself and Brazilians in the process.

That's why Petrobras has withdrew its sponsorship from Globo and other companies should do so.

As my uncle, who works in a megazine about living outside of the country said... "Brazil is shit but is good, while the first world countries are good but are shitty." People overall are great company, but the average salary x taxes x taxes over all other things x even more taxes that you have no idea that you are paying x HUGE interest from the banks. All this money that we earn and never see the light of day just to have no return at all.

What's a good car for a people in their mid 20's in Europe or USA? That's probably one that only very rich people can afford here, because of all that. The same with houses and any eletronics.

Corruption might, just might be the same somewhere in Europe, but you already can do a lot more that we just can't. Specially public transportation, public college or anything else "public". Here, people spend 24k in a preparation course JUST TO GET INTO the public college and do that for "free". Also cultural activity is way better - so many nice churches and great music everywhere, either classic or good rock bands. Here we only see a famous rock group, if ever, every 10 years or so.

Also, even the 4th division soccer player can make a living there, here, almost all soccer teams are dying in my regional league, while the regional organization just inaugurated a 16 million headquarters. I'm just happy that all those fishy things are more contested than ever, like the Indy GP problem, at least this positive thing is true. One good feature of having the main power divided in half, before it was only the right-wing helping the right-wing and then doing it all in secrecy, now the left-wing got into the party, having to use some of the right-wing to finally get ellected and thus corrupting itself in the process. But they still were another side of the wing and things weren't kept secret. This 10 years ago. Now this new operation that was after Petrobras company decided to go deep and pull all strings attached, and they just don't stop to come out.

I had once a teacher that was a governor manager or something like that, and he said that, if one really wants, he could earn 700k a month from our south state public money. He tried to stop this but his family got into real danger and he had to back off.

On the bright side, there's no 'hard-working' culture here, so jobs and studies can be lighter in a way. Specially public jobs, those are nice, once you pass the public tender to get in, some people stay trying for more than 10 years.

Hino Nacional Brasileiro, the best national anthem in the world. Disgracefully, at least in F1 it always cuts randomly in the middle "because people have no attention span of 2 minutes".

To be honest, people did care back when there were protests in Bahrain. And nobody cared back in the apartheid days in SA.

But that's none of my business. You could be a children-gassing dictator within your country, as long as you put up a decent racetrack and host an exciting race, I'll watch. Not out of support, but because I'm just a dumb F1 fan across the world who doesn't like cherry-picking.
