Those tyres will always remind me of Generally

On a more serious note, can't wait to see how this track is for the cars. Yes, the esses have been emasculated, but the 'ruined' second Lesmo is still a pretty cool corner.

Even though FIA have taken most of the challenge away, a new track is always a trip to the unknown.
Exceptionally, it looks like Friday might be the dry day and Sunday the wettest. Another interesting race coming? I hope so, as nothing really matters at this point. A new winner would be a highlight of the season. :)

I was thinking back to the last Mexican Grand Prix in 1992 when Nigel Mansell won the race.

I realised Mansell got a knack for winning the last GPs at some circuits: 1987 at the Osterreichring, 1985 at Kyalami (in that particular circuit), 1986 at Brands Hatch and 1992 at Mexico City. Just saying.

I just had a look at the championship standings and something that seems to have gone unnoticed or talked about is just how well Rossi is doing. He has beaten Stevens in every race and generally been the quicker of the two. Which either suggests that he is better than I thought he was, or Stevens is worse than I thought he was. Considering Mehri had started to outpace Stevens, I think its the former.

Given the 7000 feet altitude, I expect a lot more engine problems than normal + Honda even further off.

And podium finishes for Panis, who finished with an oil leak and Morbidelli.

Don't forget Pedro Lamy's first and only point in his F1 career!

I still like the new esses, they seem to be better than 90% of any Tilkedrome corner.
