Spencer Pigot will take Special Ed's green car out on the tracks with right turns in them for the rest of the season.

Good to have an extra car on those circuits.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

and a good opportunity for Pigot! He's been very invisible so far, but that car is fast, probably better than a 2nd RLL car.

Happy for Pigot. Hoping Lights\Mazda road to Indy standouts get more chances, that's how it's supposed to be.

He seems like a decent driver without the recklessness of Karam

Power wants VSC's :yuk: :slaphead:
http://www.racer.com/indycar/item/13046 ... in-indycar

from someone who has raced on the local end, yeah it sucks to lose that gap but it's been like this for how many years now? to quote. "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

Well if it's something that can quickly be picked up in a lap or two I'm all for VSC. It's a waste of racing to spend time plodding behind the pace/safety car getting everyone into position for a restart.

VSC is more suitable to IndyCar than is for F1, specially because there are drivers who can't simply restart at street courses

What about the ones who can't do a start full stop?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, far too many Indycar race results decided by who got lucky with full course yellows and the strategy element, VSC would see more representative results and less case's of some dawdler who's been cruising around at the back all day off the pace, pitting out of sequence and suddenly finding himself leading at the end :-/

Fucking hell Will, that's life, sometimes it throws up things you can't plan for

Motorsport the world over is trying to eliminate any random element from their racing, be it safety cars, running in the rain or anything like that.

For all the races Will says he's lost due to bad strategy (which, don't forget, is the same for everyone), I'm sure he's lucked into a few that way himself and said nothing

Life is random, randomness is exciting, get over it.

All these series doing whatever they can to protect a big gap built up by the leader and then wondering why the races are boring and fans a drifting away?
Lord save us!

I would love to see VSC in some races, like a different rule for a change. This series is way too much being decided on lucky pit-sequence.

Which throws up bizzare results and is one of the reasons I love the series!

lol, Will Power himself was the first guy to be out of sequence during the 500 after his penalty, and he could've been seriously in contention had the race turned out in his favour.

Motorsport is televised for the entertainment of fans who can't be at the track, emphasis on the word entertainment.

VSC is great for the driver who has an 8 second lead, but not so much for the guy laying on his sofa boarding on a coma praying to lord jesus for something to lighten up the boring race, which a safety car often does, they might want to remember that before introducing it, F1 has lost more tv viewers in the last few years for pinnacle events than Indycar gets in an entire year, not saying they are related, but even if slightly, does Indycar really wan't to risk alienating their already tiny fanbase anymore than they already have?

When tracks have to bring in concerts and other entertainment stuff that goes on while the track action is ongoing to keep people interested, then there's something wrong with your on track product, might want to fix that first before you make it worse.

If a VSC prevents so many yellows for minor incidents it's great. But the onus is on the drivers to stop being idiots on restarts all the time.

Power should be careful what he wishes for. The VSC concept is still flawed, the result of the Monaco GP2 feature race is a prime example why.
