Maldonado had only once earlier scored twice in a row - 5th in Abu Dhabi and 9th in USA back in 2012.

Kimi/Alonso accident deemed a racing incident. No further action.

Right decision, Alonso was merely an unfortunate victim of the consequences (could have been anybody else).
Still, I'm puzzled why there was no onboard angles from the cars behind? Or then they want to leave material for their F1 app / season review.

Well yeah, even though it was definately 100% Kimi's car that caused it, wheelspinning out of the corner and basically turning into Fernando. Not sure if it was a technical failure though.

Seriously though, Maldonado is the man. I have never seen a car get so out of shape in a straight and come back. Well, except in DTM and it happened on that straight exactly many years back (who was it?)

Maldonado can be very fast and have excellent car control. Problem is, he is not very smart.
