Cup & Xfinity at Richmond. Hopefully the racing will be alot better compared to last September's races. Primary change for the schedule on the spring weekend is that the K&N Pro Series East race was moved to the September weekend. Also the weather forecast is calling for a 60% chance of rain on Saturday night (90% during the afternoon) & also calling for some on Sunday as well.

Also racing this week/weekend includes ARCA @ Salem, the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown @ South Boston, WMT @ Stafford for the annual Spring Sizzler, Whelen Euro @ Valencia & the Mexico Series @ Tuxtla. As far as those races being shown on television or streamed, FansChoice.TV should be streaming the entire Whelen Euro season this year, the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown will be shown on delay on NBCSN in the USA in a week or 2 and the Mexico Series race should be on NBC Universo in the USA, FOX Sports 3 in Mexico & streamed on their website as well.

Entry Lists:
Sprint Cup - 45 cars entered
Xfinity - 41 cars currently entered (could go to 42 with the possible debut of Mike Affarano's team)
ARCA - 24 cars currently entered
Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown - around 90 drivers invited
Whelen Euro - 29 cars entered for both Elite 1 & Elite 2
Whelen Modified Tour - 35 cars entered

New tyre this weekend. Thankfully it should be better than that terrible tyre from the last race here.

Wife and I are getting out of town for the night to hit up a craft brew bar in Stamford, CT. May see the 2nd half of the race back at the hotel.

Looking forward to the Denny Hamlin Showdown. Didn't even know there was a Whelen Euro series, will try to catch that too.

Johanna officially on the entry list...I've been watching that Affarano team (Via their FB) build this car from the ground up and it sounds like they put decent equipment together. I have full confidence Johanna can get that car in the show and hope she can get some sponsors behind her this time.

Going to the ARCA race this weekend. My second of eight (possibly nine) for the year. Car count is a little disappointing but I hope a few more pop up before the weekend. I'm also going up to the Kimmel Racing's Fan Appreciation thing this Friday as well for the first time.

Our forecast (on Tuesday) was 100% rain for this afternoon, it's sunny blue sky outside presently....

It is also supposed to rain tomorrow, and Saturday, and Sunday here, Sunday is 100% rain again... we'll see.

I like that forecast, talk about covering all bases:

"Occasional Rain"

Quote:
occasional
adjective: occasional

occurring, appearing, or done infrequently and irregularly.

90% chance of rain further down, does that mean they'll make their mind up on the day?

Doesn't look good at all. Would love to see a Richmond day race.

Was that the race so boring that that fan wanted to jump down on the track and kill himself?

i'm a few miles from the track but not planning to go to the races unless if someone pays me lol

I saw the #43 hauler drive by when I came out of a mcdonalds. guess that's the only nascar action I'm getting this weekend since we don't have net or tv service either yet

I've seen a couple highlights(I don't think they've ever broadcast a full race) of it and it reminds me of the old speedcar series in terms of the racing etiquette

Apparently there was punches thrown after the end of the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown between Josh Berry and Lee Pulliam.

EDIT: And also between CE Falk and Dalton Sargeant.

Sadly the Affarano team is obviously complete garbage cause Johanna couldn't even come close to being the 2nd slowest car on track. What a waste.
