People watch F1, they moan it's bad and then they watch more, followed by more moaning. This is perpetual motion at its best. Keep it up, it's hilarious.

2002 and 2004 were far worse. You may look at it now with rose tinted glasses, but believe me, they were.

Yeah, nothing beats 2002. 04 I found TBK and had lots of nice footage to watch, and Monaco was one of the best of the decade.

Hungary 2004 was the worst race of all time. Literally fuck all happened. It might be worth looking up the race thread on the old forum to see how people reacted to it back then

I'm going to keep out of F1 threads for a while. Merely noticing a lack of posts (I just wanted to read up on the reactions to the qualifying here and was surprised at the lack of it) suddenly turns into me moaning about the current state of F1 and apparently crowning the ELMS as the new world class of racing.

Well then, okay!

The race was boring as hell. The dullest race of the season and what's more Ferrari took double victory again

i went out half way through, came back and it handt changed. Highlight was the full length honda cog advert during one of the breaks. That was cool

Schumacher could at least do a new jump ... that probably would have been the most exciting part of this GP

I only started watching F1 in 2006, can someone give me a good parallel to that race because it actually sounds a bit fascinating that an entire race can go by with literally nothing happening.

Before 2006, Hungary was the epitome of boringness. Long race with normally phew things going on. But on that year Ferrari with Bridgestone was sailing away. And probably the starting positions could be the order from fastest to slowest... So guys just pulled away. Also, the broadcast was just starting to look to ways of making the race better to watch. Before they just focused on the battle for the lead, or the lone leader. So add all this, cars that were 10x easier to pass on pit strategy....

This stupid thing with drivers having to go to the front of the grid for the anthem has made the grid walk a bit pointless as there's hardly any drivers with time to do an interview.

Also seems Bernie is now blaming commentators for F1's problems.
