I distinctly remember the one crash where Max Papis ran head-on into Memo Gidley and launched 1000 feet into the air and shit. Good times.

Or that one time Jimmy Bly drove underneath an airborne car, missing his head by mere inches.

Or Adrian Fernandez (or whoever was driving the Tecate car) launched into the St. Laurence River.

I watched the commentary for that, basically they did the car-hitting-car stunt and that was how high it flew, they didn't intend it to be so crazy originally! Fun fact: the entire crowd/backdrop/rain in that shot was entirely CG.

Also, let's pause for a moment to appreciate what a special film Stallone created for us:

My favourite part is every time it cuts from real CART footage to repainted Lights cars, COMPLETELY SEAMLESSLY.

My favorite part is when they race Detroit in Montréal :p

On a slightly off-topic note, the aero bits have been beefed up this weekend in an attempt to avoid another debrisfest.

No problem, there'll be a dozen cautions anyway through cars trying to find the swamp.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

It was a fun day at the track. Was able to get on the radio with the local CBS affiliate and got to talk to a lot of different people. I'm glad that we got this race here.

Really nice track :)

Lap averages over 125 mph, a really fast series of corners out the back and places to slipstream and pass.
