I don't know how those brakes lasted to the finish. They were dumping brake dust almost from the very beginning of the race.

By the way, I haven't been so pleased with a Vettel win since his very first at Monza. My how things change, lol.

DIdn't have the will power to get up, good to hear the race was good though. Let's hope it makes for an exciting rest of the season.

I was just expecting those Red Bull brakes to go kaboom and they're going out of the track in marvelous fashion

Great job by Vettel and Ferrari, a thoroughly deserved win. Shame Kimi couldn't have got more but he was compromised in qualifying then mired mid pack on the opening lap.

I feel a little for Lewis and Nico. They lost out by some 10 and 15 seconds respectively to Vettel. Incidentally, that was the time gap after they had both cleared all the traffic after the SC tyre stop. Quite frankly Mercedes tactics were piss poor today, the SC pit stop was totally unnecessary. They seemed a little overwhelmed by Ferrari and made their own driver's work harder than needed.

Very good race, last 15 laps bot so exciting but the first half had great racing.

I thought the race was one hour later, and due to summertime coming in effect, two hours later :slaphead:

At last, good tast.

While it was a dry race it had the residual effects of yesterday's wet qualifying.
yes, rain in f1 is so awesome it makes races tast even a day later

Also we need to find a way to make Mercedes start down the field at every race, some good passes from Lewis and Nico.

Pass of the season so far though goes to verstappen around the outside of last year's overtaker of the season Danny-Ric
Special mention to bottas for standing up to massa's slight rudeness for a team mate, sending him wide in turn 1 and risking taking both cars out.

Can't say I'm a big Ferrari fan, but I'm pleased for them that they've managed to get back to the top step of the podium. Ferrari needed it. F1 needed it. Now lets hope this wasn't just a one off and that they can genuinely challenge Mercedes throughout the season.

As someone who's never understood the Vettel hatred, I am quite pleased today.

Nothing against Ferrari as they clearly have worked their asses off to make this car good but maybe, just maybe, this kid is that good.

For a race that's been on the calendar since 1999 and has the cheapest tickets of any race, its really sad to see large sections of the stands totally empty :(

Considering its right next to one of Asia's busiest airports, access should never be an issue. Maybe everyone's gone to Singapore.

44 000 on race day. A bit too shy really.

I have a sort of deja vu this season. The grey cars being incredibly fast in qlf, but the Ferrari edging closer.

It's 98-99 all over :8:
