What's Alonso doing at the moment? Crying, faking another seizure, actually having a seizure, firing his manager or trying to get back to Ferrari?

it is not per se Ferrari building a better car this year, it is also Vettel having a positive influence that Alonso couldn't give anymore

Could it have something to do with the rumor of Mercedes bending the rules regarding the fuelflow? Or because Ferrari is or just because Ferrari caught up very well?

Ferrari were bending the same rule, so I doubt it was that. Ferrari have simply done what Renault couldn't.
