There are still a number of cars still waiting in line including Tony Stewart, Denny Hamlin, Jeff Gordon, Joey Logano, Jimmie Johnson, Regan Smith and both Ganassi cars, among others. It is possible that some of them might not make it out to qualify.

There seems to be a severe lack of communication between the officials in the inspection station and the people in race control. That is the only possible way for something like this to happen.

just tuned into it, only 34 cars were able to make a lap

13 cars never made a lap including Stewart, Gordon, Kenseth and Johnson.

It was not an issue with NASCAR's process from what they were saying in the booth. Apparently there were tons of teams failing tech over and over.

Come on Jaff. You're retiring. Let NASCAR have it.

Damn, didnt think Qualifying could be any more ridiculous that Daytona, NASCAR prooves me wrong again.

I'd like to know when they started inspecting the cars. They had over 2 1/2 hours to inspect the cars while truck practice was taking place. The cars that didn't make it out failed more than once, according to Twitter.

Every car had at least one pass through tech. So as much as NASCAR fucks things up, it sure as hell doesn't seem like this one is on them.
