Throw knockout qualifying out the window.

One, 45 minute session at all tracks. Fastest time at the end of the session is pole. Can change tires all you want, still have to start on the set you set your fastest lap with. Done.

Charlotte Motor Speedway sent its track drying equipment over to the Concord Regional Airport to de-ice and dry out the run way so that teams can fly their members to Daytona Beach.

If you think about it, qualifying on superspeedways is stupid and pointless anyway. Single-car qualifying is pointless because it's pack racing, and pack qualifying is pointless because it's just a fucking roll of the dice who will be fast on any given lap. What they should do:

1). Use practice speeds to determine starting positions in two qualifying races similar to the duels, set the field directly from the results.

B). Random draw for starting positions in the race, base pit selection on practice speeds.
