Yep, basically tell the FIA to fuck off and where they can stick the Concorde agreement.

They've managed to schedule next year's race in Baku for the same weekend as Le Mans.

Fuck you F1.

I'm assuming Stan's point is that it stops drivers like Hulkenberg doing Le Mans.

To stop F1 drivers doing Le Mans.

Hopefully there will be a revolution before then.

Yeah, exactly that. Porsche definitely had the idea of letting Hülkenberg try to defend his win, and other drivers have been interested as well. That goes out the window now.

But also, the race will actually be on at the same time now.
"Back in the days" it usually was Canada that clashed, but that race would then run in the evening after the finish of the 24H. Now it's going to directly compete with the final 2 hours, lol.

Teams and drivers want rock hard tyres. FIA wants to provide fans a show by having tyres with short shelf life. It doesn't matter who the manufacturer is. Pirelli have been unfairly criticized even though they are following the mandate set by the FIA.
It's a request from Bernie rather than the FIA.

I was reading something last month which said that Pirelli or whoever the supplier is also completely free to ignore that request & produce tyres that are whatever they want them to be. Michelin for example have already made it clear that they will not produce high degredation tyres & are only going to produce tyres that drivers can push 100% & that have the best performance possible regardless of what Bernie asks them to do.

There changing the exhaust rules next year to try & increase the volume:
Quote:
For 2016, all cars must have a separate exhaust wastegate tailpipe through which all and only wastegate exhaust gases must pass. This measure has been undertaken to increase the noise of the cars and will not have any significant effect on power or emissions.

Also:
Quote:
For 2017, on board cameras on stalks on the nose of cars will be prohibited

And:
Quote:
Sporting Regulations regarding track limits have been clarified and specify that drivers ‘must make every reasonable effort to use the track at all times and may not deliberately leave the track without a justifiable reason'.

Penalties will still be allocated based on whether a driver is judged to have gained an advantage.

Jesus, why must F1 be run by complete morons? Hopefully Pirelli resigns, Lotus, Toro Rosso and Red Bull and Manor quit and Italian GP, German GP and British GP will be gone so that we have reason to stop watching this shitty "sports".
Maybe MotoGP is a better choice.

apparently when advisors told Putin to switch the Russian GP into a night race the great leader thought it wasn't going to work as "nobody would see a shit"

Frankly hulkenberg should have been banned from the season for running Le Mans and force India docked $20 million of their price money for allowing it. How dare they!

Good thing they squashed his dream. Before you know it others might get the same crazy idea. That's not how it's was done nor how it will be done in the great formula one.

Would be fun if Hulkenberg chose to skip the Baku GP to do Le Mans

I will be asking a question after opening my 5th beer this fine evening, so excuse me if I'm thick here.

While I agree with most of the rants around here over F1, how could they deliberately fuck Hulk (or anybody else wanting to do Le Mans) over? Aren't both the WEC and F1 sanctioned by the FIA? Or is this Bernie? Enlighten me.
