Which is why I was hoping IHG would be WSR's primary sponsor. But with two cars now fully funded, I would guess that puts WSR and Turkington in a much more advantageous position.

Talked to Anthony Reid today. He has no interest in a btcc without manufacturer support (expects to be paid basically) so he's off to race.....

Reid's past it anyway. He wasn't very competitive in his appearances in 2009.

For sure. He struggled at Silverstone, was all over the place at Rockingham and had one half decent result at Brands.

Yep, car 195 ... They've lots of experience in all formulae.. looking forward to seeing him.
Also we will probably see a bit more of a couple of other BTCC drivers because of their speedworks connections.

A chat or two yesterday at Autosport..

Plato starting his own privateer team running an Ex motorbase Focus.
Apparently he wanted a WSR built 1 series but they couldn't commit... Still might happen.

Turkington in at BMR Pass at CC.

Tom Ingram has only the budget for half a season...
He is looking at staying put with Speedworks but they need a season long driver/budget.
Motorbase have offered him a seat with the promise their PR / sponsorship team will hunt him out backers to top up his season but it means he will have to stop all outside activities and be their corporate/ promo bitch everywhere.
Has spoken to MG about the 2nd car there..

888 and the 1 year extension with MG..
Jordan wanted stability so they stuck with the MG for one more year with a view that they can develop the 2016 challenger during this season with a view to it being ready to challenge from the start of 2016.
Don't know which Vauxhall it will be though.

Interestingly Jordan leaving his father's team (again) is key to a number of things... Last year Jordan was effectively being funded by Martin Depper and Pirtek..
This year , with Jordan Jnr leaving the team it means they now have 2 pay drivers..
Apparently Depper has had to tighten his purse strings and the tax man is asking questions as he was effectively paying over half of the teams bills last year and covering some of Andrews budget ... Also, the gamble is that Andrews replacement in the team has sufficient budget to syphon some out of the family bank account to cover Andrews 888 seat.

Dino Zamparelli confirmed he'll race in Porsche's this year adding to some pretty talented guys this year.

Some really talented karter's now announcing MSA Formula plans, so the grid is filling up there.

Clio's look set to be well into the 20's - if not 30's

Ginetta's are once again doing ok.
