I love that aside from his win in 1997, he either blew up or crashed out of every BGN Dega race he ran.

I was quoting Underdog saying that only Mears, Nadeau and Nemecheck won in the 25. Schrader and Richmond did as well.

So has Jack White and Dick Linder.

And Vickers.

First one I saw Bill Elliott won. Don't recall another Talladega race until Rusty flipped at the finish in '93.
Talladega was a place that NZ race fans knew about but rarely saw any footage from.

I think Craven 96 is my first vivid dega memory. Have some cloudy memories of some 94 and 95 as well though.

Also remember this odd one pretty well. Didn't see it posted, apologies if I overlooked it.

I remember reading up on Cavin Councilor to see if he was hurt in that wreck and if he was still racing (since that onboard shot looked pretty vicious), only to find out he had been killed in a plane crash a couple years later.

One of my favourite DEGA moments for obvious reasons, but it was also due to it being the first race I ever watched in HD (it was incredible) and my little 3.5 year old niece watched the whole thing with me. Our commentary during the race that day was fantastic... what a great, great day.

Too bad Jimmie went on an absolute tear the next little while, completely demolishing any hope of JAFF winning the title in one of his best all-around seasons.

Anyone remember Christi Passmore's huge crash in the 2004 ARCA race? Couldn't find footage on YT.

When she goes across the track out of T4 and SMASHES the inside wall? One of the worst hits to see because you have so long to realize what is about to happen.

Yeah. Maybe someone who downloaded it way back in the day could upload it somewhere?

I must've downloaded it at some point, perhaps part of a race recap type video. I remember watching it a bunch of times. No idea where that file is now though.

Another classic Dega moment. I remember we were coming home from Disney World and listening to the race on the radio so only got to listen as Jimmie pulled out and he and Jr were eliminated from contention.

My first DEGA memory is also from 2003. Which is a bit strange, since NASCAR had been on TV in some shape or form throughout the 90's in Sweden. My first encounter with the sport was with the season finale in 1997, but still no DEGA for me for six years, when every race first was broadcast here.
