This not only dashed Sterling Marlin's 2002 championship hopes, but ended his season as well because it cracked a vertebrae in his neck.

He had a bad wreck at Richmond too, he might have been racing injured until Kansas did him in

Sterling had 2002 on lock till Richmond and then this. Yea he never did really bounce back. Such a shame.
