Yeah this is ridiculous, there was no reason not to start this early.

If the race was stopped now, Rosberg would be leading by 0,5 points

But since that is not going to happen, the only person who looks silly is you.

How do you know that?

Because the race is now red flagged, halved points can be rewarded and it's going to be dark in two and half hours. And they have to go to Russia soon.

The race has already ended.

If they started early, the logistical problem for Sochi would also be less.

Weather looking better now

Its a Job,so do it already. Can't stand those moaners.

Yeah but can you be killed if the conditions are bad when you are doing your job?

Scotty I think we all know that the sport is the safest it's ever been. At the reduced speed they would be racing in wet conditions the chance of injury is imo reduced. The faster they're racing the higher the chance of injury in an accident. Sure there's more chance of an accident in the wet but as I said, they are driving a lot slower. These are meant to be the best drivers in the world, they should have to prove this in all conditions, they earn their money too easily these days.....Bring back the good old days of the 70's-90's plz

NBCSN was saying that F1/FIA offered to start the race early, but Honda (race promoter) declined, saying fans needed the time to get to the track or something.

We already had this debate on here, and we know your position which always comes more on the conservative side on safety, compared to many other members.

I still suggest you chill the fuck out and stop insulting people over this. No matter the opinions, race control has the decision over this.

As for the general scheme of things, depending on organisers and years, there will be wet races, there will be suicidal conditions, and there will be killed and wounded eventually. That's the sport you're watching. Deal with it.

By the looks of it, after 15 years of trying, Bernd Mayländer finally wins F1 Grand Prix.

Something i read elsewhere suggested that the circuit owners were unwilling to move the start time as most fans rely on public transport to get to the track & would have booked tickets to be at the track for the 3pm start.

With the 11am start the fia wanted its apparently possible the grandstands would have been over 95% empty.

If the race was started earlier this wouldnt happen.
But i had a feeling since yesterday this would happen cuz start time didnt move forwards..
Looks like that will be all of racing here...
Cuz typically Charlie he will wait until its dry like always, but it wont.
