The existence of this thread makes me so very sad.

Well, it's the only way to determine the 2014 Sprint Cup Champion. It was different last year, and it may be different again next year, but if you want a 2014 dated championship trophy, this is how the game is played. Do you think Richard Petty gives a fuck that only 2 of his 7 championships were under the beloved Latford points system? Sometimes they earned points for miles completed, sometimes they changed the system yearly. They had half a point points. Do you think Jimmie Johnson gives a fuck that his 6 are under the Chase format? I didn't start the thread because I was trying to piss off the NASCAR haters, I just wanted to see who everyone thought would advance through the rounds.

I'm too lazy to fill out the whole thing but I am officially rooting for Kenseth to win the title without winning a race just because.

As much as I'd like Kenseth to win every race he's entered in, I'd be happy to see him win it without winning a race just to kinda rub it in their faces.

That would be hilarious - some say his title-winning season with one win is the cause for the Chase in the first place. I agree 110% that him winning the title this year without winning a single race would be EPIC.

Count me in among those who would love to see that happen. Unless he wins a race between here and Homestead, then JAFF all the way.
