Badstreet Atlanta, GA. Baddest street in the whole USA....

Off to Atlanta Motor Speedway, a track that probably deserves its second race back. With only 2 races to the Chase, who will conquer Hotlanta?

Trucks head north of the border to Insert Corporate Name Here Motorsports Park Mosport for a road course demo derby.

Entry Lists
Sprint Cup @ Atlanta
Nationwide @ Atlanta
Trucks @ Mosport
ARCA @ DuQuoin

HOTlanta, actually going to be there next week. Hopefully will be a good weekend, feel like this race could be like Fontana in terms of good battles .

No Mike Skeen or Max Papis in trucks this year to re-enact the Pap Slap. Darn it!

WTF happened with all the good ringers this year?

These Nationwide/Truck races just haven't been the same without Fellows, Villenoob, or Papis creating chaos.

Not sure who is preparing Andrew Ranger's truck, but I would have to assume he will be somewhat competitive at least.

Its Gordon's 750th start this weekend, all of them consecutive since that memorable 1992 Hooters 500.

Tagliani has been proven to show Villeneuve-like aggression. He's not quite on par, of course, but two post-race "discussions" weren't all for nothing. haha

I'm glad he's getting back in the car, but I'd rather he didn't hold a press conference.

Probably better for him to get it out at his own pace before the onslaught of questions.

Media should not be asking questions while a criminal investigation is ongoing, he is free to do whatever he wants ( if he wasn't he'd have been arrested and given bail conditions), but the media is not, they should just leave him be and let him get on with things.

If they (ESPN) absolutely must say something, then all it needs to be is something along the lines of while the investigation by the da is ongoing, we will not speculate on the matter, and Tony is back racing this weekend.

But I guess in this era, expecting the media to exercise a small moderation of self control is about as likely as the queen running down my high street naked.

This is just a guess, but I doubt he'll take questions... he doesn't like answering them on a good day, much less after a situation like this.

That being said, I'm quite glad he's back. I'm not a fan, but it's just not the same without the guy.

Def glad to have Tony back on track. And yes, when he was in a state of mind going for a Championship, he wasn't taking stupid questions. Really doubt he'll be fielding much. I'm very interested to see how he performs. Damn, that'd be bananas if he won. Though I don't recall Atlanta being one of his better tracks.

EDIT (three wins there...nvm)

Helton's also having a "media availability" after Stewart, both pressers to be streamed on the nascar website.
