That wheel didn't come that close, it's just the perspective of the video.

Maldonado

Any other driver on the grid and you'd be winning the "TBK psychic posting award 2014"

I still love Ralf in this crash.
"Fuck it, I'm waiting here until you guys are done running into each other..."

personally for me that is the greatest moment of F1. Forget Gethin winning by 0.01, Fangio beating the lap record on nordschleife, Jim Clark winning 100% of the points, Senna winning only with the 6th gear and Arnoux vs Villeneuve

when you're a 9 year old fascinated with F1 and see that kind of crash you gotta love that for sure

Damn, I've never noticed that before! 8O I mean, DAMN! I've seen this hundreds of times and I've never noticed what Ralf did there. Smooth move.

Jordan was the only team that weekend which hadn't big damage to any of their cars. 9 of 11 teams had at least one car involved in that shunt, only Jordan and Williams escaped. For the Williams, Villeneuve had huge shunt in Friday practice.

And Nakano's Minardi got ran over at the Bus Stop by Fisico. Expensive weekend.

Maldonado's been taken to hospital apparently.

No doubt because they found a lack of brain activity at the medical centre.

I heard that following scans at the hospital, it has been discovered that Maldonado has small brain fragments lodged in his skull. These fragments are suspected to be causing his erratic behaviour on and off the track.

Which was also a very big crash. The armco took a huge dent.

that's actually a crash which has been poorly captured. But the way he lost it certainly suggests a big one.

The F1 App does have another angle of Maldonado's crash from FP2:

TBH aside from MS on Hill early on I can't really remember much overtaking from that race either, it was just a collection of incidents more akin to a destruction derby "last man standing" affair.

IIRC Damon's car was found to have a slow puncture after the race too, just incredible the amount of events that happened in one race! :8:

*Edit* also having seen the GP3 crash, I assume there'll be a lot of grinding work on the bus stop kerbs overnight? :?

What an idiot :D I knew he was going to crash today, never expected it to be there. I first thought he drove onto the grass to park the car, then I realised he was still at racing speed and kablamo. Shame I didn't get the impact.

Wherever TBK'ers stand, Maldanado crashes!

Go stand at Eau Rouge tomorrow please, at least then he'll do a proper job of it! ;)

What a fucking idiot Maldanado is. Controlling the wheel spin is one of the very attributes about driving, even on a road car. Also watch the onboard, he just fucked up his line, and never left the curb/grass before the "wheel spin" pitched him off.

One of the great anomalies in F1 is how the hell this guy won a race by holding off and beating Alonso fair and square. I mean Pastor is making Andrea De Cesaris look good.
