In a weekend filled with mixed emotions, A.J Allmendinger took his first Sprint Cup victory at The Glen and locked himself into the Chase, capping off his long and winding road to redemption. With 4 spots up for grabs and 4 races to go until the Chase, the tour rolls on to Michigan.

Meanwhile, the Nationwide Series gets a double dose of road course action when they take on the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Entry Lists
Sprint Cup @ Michigan
Nationwide @ Mid-Ohio
Trucks @ Michigan
ARCA @ Springfield

At least there's barely any Cup drivers in Nationwide this weekend.

Not really. The car count for that race was just the guys who made the field. 14 more were on the entry list but DNQ'd.

Ryan Truex with a hard hit in T2. Over-corrected it into the wall. Trip to the local hospital for a more thorough examination.

He was complaining of a headache and shoulder pain. The right front was almost pushed back into the a-pillar. He hit about as hard as you could hit in turn 2 at Michigan. Good thing all of the safety improvements over the last few years worked, or else he would have had more than a headache and shoulder pain.

Ryan Reed just hit the tires in Nationwide qualifying, probably will need a backup car.
