So there's a rumor going on Twitter that Tony Stewart got in an indecent in a short track that involved a guy getting run over by Tony. Granted the guy may have run out in front of Tony It's still Frightening sounding.

Here is a Tweet from Andy Lally. Don't know any more than that.

Quote:
Wow, this is sad and life changing news coming out of Watkins Glen. #NASCAR

Then I just saw this:

[quote][Direct source at race track, "Prayers are with the ward family right now!!! stewart ran over my best friend kevin ward under yellow"/quote]

Scratching my head at this, I know TOny has had a temper at points, but why here at a race you're just running as a guest?

Anyone know which track it was at?

EDIT: Guessing this was the ESS 360 race at Canadaigua. Word around the campfire is the night has been called.

Gee, that's so out of character for Tony.

Seriously though, hopefully the guy is alright.

None of the NASCAR reporters have reported anything on this on Twitter. I'm keeping an eye out on seeing what they report.

I wonder if he wasn't expecting the guy to be where he was when he mashed the gas or something.

Here is a report that I just saw from Adam Longo, a reporter from a CBS affiliate.

Quote:
DEVELOPING: Multiple spectators on Twitter reporting that NASCAR driver Tony Stewart purposely hit a competitor who was out of his car.
