Gotta assume that if Larson had a few more years under his belt, he's the winner. Exciting race nonetheless.

Can only smack the wall so many times before it gives up. Gave it his all but in the end it was too much.

I'm shocked Larson kept up with Wallace with a truck that fucked up for so long.

I'm not sure how "real" slamming your truck off the wall every corner is, but it was still a certain brand of fun.

Congrats to Wallace though. Drove a pretty much flawless race. Much deserved win.

In the end,not even the raw talent of Kyle Larson could control that messed up beast.

Watching that last restart again really shows how well Wallace did. He bombed it way, way down into the corner, cleared the 32 comfortably, kept it off the wall, and still managed a strong run off the corner. Nobody did that all night until then.

Larson could have probably caught him if he just relaxed a bit more and drove the track. Wallace drove a heck of a race and I agree with Chris, solid move on that restart to regain the lead.

Wait, why is Rick Allen stepping down now instead of waiting until the end of the season?

20 to go, and a shot of winning, you think ANYONE would be patient on a track in which laps tick down fairly quickly?

I do admit, Larson drove beyond the limit and it bit him, but at least it got the crowd standing. God, I love motorsport.

Like most TV folk there is probably a clause in his contract that says if he terminates the contract, he cannot work in TV (or more specifically Motorsport) presentation for a year.

It's standard practice, you usually see it more with Actors, but I think it's safe to assume considering the timing he had the same type of contract.

I think the only reason Larson wrecked is cause the car was already fucked up from that caution and even he couldn't get it working enough to keep it off the wall.

Yeah, his car wasn't too bad from all the *slight* wall contact, but there was one time in particular he caught it a bit too hard, and then the spin and nose damage from the 3 probably didn't help. Every time he bounced off the wall after that was probably not completely of his doing. Well, it was hitting harder than it had been, anyway.

Great drive from him, and even more impressive from Bubba - gotta love seeing those guys who have never really run dirt succeed at Eldora. A sign of natural talent, IMO.

WHY ISN'T NASCAR LIKE THIS EVERY WEEK?!?!

The best NASCAR race I've ever seen! Kyle Larson is such a god damn hero!

I would just like to point out that John Wes Townley won a NASCAR sanctioned race yesterday. even if it was the LCQ.

Recorded the qual, heat races and feature while I was at work and watched it all back to back. Lots of fun and NASCAR could use a lot more of that sort of thing.

I'm sure Stewart would love that idea.

They need to add at least another dirt track to the schedule. No more than 5, tho (and put those between Daytona and Martinsville, since the Trucks have that unreasonable month-long break).

The best part is, aerodynamics, perfect set-up, none of that matters. It's 99% about pure driving talent, as Larson showed. And not a single dull moment for the viewer. How many cookie cutters can you say that about? It's odd to say but the only way NASCAR can dig itself out of the hole it's in is by adding more dirt.

Nationwide race will be a regular Cupper shit show, they're all near the top of the board in practice. Don't give ESPN your ratings!!
