Picked everything from Official F1 Website.

After World Cup, Nico Rosberg heads to his home race to give one more triumph to the germans, too bad FIFA didn't allowed him to display the World Cup trophy in his helmet.

Excuse the plug, but I've written a preview, focusing on Rosberg - he can become the first German driver to win the German GP in a German(-badged) car since 1939 this weekend: http://bettinginstinct.com/2014/07/17/r ... ockenheim/

Who was the last German driver to win the German GP in a German car? Your article doesn't mention that exactly.

conditions for rain:

-only after the start and before checkered flag
-no heavy showers
-Bernie Ecclestone hair must attract lightning in case of thunderstorm

Even though I find current Hockenheim layout a better than most Tilke tracks, the old Hockenheimring was the last really unique track. Uniqueness. That's what the calendar has lacked since 2002. While Spa or Suzuka has character of their own, old Hockenheim had a real personality. Maybe if some future circuit goes around a mountain, or goes through a canyon or behind a waterfall, that would be unique. Nowadays every new track is another parking lot with long straights and stadiums or street circuit.

Still, expecting strong performance from Williams and some exciting moments at least in supporting classes.

I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did, tbh. The loop outside the stadium is ridiculously narrow compared to more modern tracks, and they'd need to fell hundreds of trees to widen it. The same trees held moisture in the air, so no-one could see when it rained, and there would be no telling how far into the forest a modern F1 car would end up if it got airborne.

It's a shame, because it was a unique circuit, but any modifications to the circuit that kept the basic layout would have destroyed the character anyway.
