Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

That barrier section looks newer than the rest. Not the first time people went off there.

Thats in NASCAR! You can work on them in F1

Irony. Now the race will be restarted behind the SC,and next year there will be a new standing start for every SC period. FIA just are making things totally idiotic.

I know. Why can't we start with another standing start? It's idiotic.

By the way, I assume the first lap was completed because the thing at the top of the screen says 2/52.

That thinking from Max may pay dividends, more so now that they have to repair the armco...

I understand this is a mid-race red flag situation? Number of laps not increased?

They used to completely restart the race when red flag happens at the first two laps.

I would guess Bianchi, with Marciello in at Marussia.

A car going off in gravel trap with that speed can easily flip, and roll a demidozen times.

Flip is always more preferable than impact into the wall. Had there been gravel, Kimi probably would have just lost places.

Had there been gravel, Kimi might have actually made some kind of effort to make the corner. He just aimed for that run off.

Wouldn't be surprised of he just went "fuck it" and retired now.

Live timing shows Chilton (pit) in 10th and Bianchi 11th. So Bianchi is in the top 10 at the moment :)

The timing line is just after the final corner so they would have crossed it as they came to line back up on the grid.

Bianchi would make sense.
But as we know Ferrari, it would be de la Rosa or Gené

Will they restart in the order they were in after the red flag? Or are positions reset?

Also, a gravel trap wouldn't give him the liberty to think about going wide there.

I don't want to sound like an ass, but Kimi is prone to going off during first lap. I can't make a list from the top oif my head, but it happened more often than any other driver. Spa 2009 springs to mind too.

So shouldn't this be a whole new tart then? What's the rule currently? Do they keep the same number of laps? Do they add up the times of lap 1 and the rest as in a double-heat race?

They will restart (behind the safety car) in the positions they are now

Ferrari will shoot themself in the foot throwing Marciello too fast in F1. He has massive talent, just don't rush it.

I hope Bianchi will move up though (if it's needed).

How does this red flag affect the 2hr time limit?
