There's no way these two will give an inch of space to each other, tomorrow or ever. Awesome.

I'd had a good weekend so far and I've just been concentrating on my own performance and working on the pace one step at a time. Qualifying was going well today but in hindsight, I should have nailed my best lap before the end of Q3. This is Monaco and there is always the risk of yellow flags here. Of course, I'm extremely disappointed that I didn't get to finish my lap as I was a couple of tenths up. That's motorsport. I have to get the best possible start and then see what we can do from there.

I assume that's Maldonado's people-carrier pointed in the wrong direction

Looking at the replay, it appears that Nico started flailing his wheel about before the tires locked up. I wonder what that was all about. Well looks like he convinced the stewards, however I'm still skeptical.

Personally, I think it was pretty deliberate. It looks like he just couldn't decide what he wanted to do. Didn't expect that of Nico. In any case, deliberate or not, Lewis thinks he did it deliberate. Hopefully, Nico won't ruin his start and keep Lewis behind him. If Mercedes don't screw around with their pitstops, it's gonna be interesting to see if the Maldonado in Lewis comes out or not.

No matter how it will turn out, it will the best soap on TV this sunday.

If I'd have been the stewards I'd have been tempted to punt Rosberg to the back of the grid just to see exactly how dominant these Mercedes actually are.

Still, a shame this has happened this way, I actually thought aside from the off track shit, Lewis has been driving better than ever this year. Who would've thought Lewis would've been the one able to hit the fuel numbers while saving tyres.
Bahrain and the end of Spain were epic...

Now this potentially can unravel Mercedes team harmony, send Lewis into a sulk and potentially damage any chances of Mercedes continuing their "let 'em race" philosophy.

Don't forget the entire season, action wise, rests on Mercedes letting its drivers race unimpeded by team orders.
I don't want to see anything tomorrow that makes them re-consider that.

I can't believe this is even being seriously debated, but for my two cents: If it was in fact deliberate, it would have taken balls of tungsten carbide to (effectively) fling the car at the wall like that. Either that or Rosberg was completely out of his mind for a split-second, but I find that hard to believe.

It's been a brilliant bout of mind-games from Rosberg after the event, though. He's maximised the situation to take advantage of Hamilton's fragile psyche.

Hamilton: I'll sort it out like Senna

Lewis Hamilton says he will resolve tension with Mercedes Formula 1 team-mate Nico Rosberg in the same way that Ayrton Senna dealt with Alain Prost.

Hamilton refused to answer directly when asked if he felt Rosberg had deliberately gone off to prompt a yellow flag when they were fighting for Monaco Grand Prix pole position - a result that Rosberg secured following his Mirabeau incident.

But in an interview with BBC Radio 5 Live, Hamilton did admit: "I should have known that was going to happen" and replied "potentially" when asked if Rosberg had tried to spoil his pole shot.

Subsequently asked if he needed to sort out the issue with Rosberg, Hamilton compared their situation to Senna and Prost's explosive rivalry when McLaren team-mates.

"I don't know if Senna and Prost talked about it but I quite liked the way Senna dealt with that so I'll take a page out of his book," Hamilton replied.

Senna and Prost's relationship deteriorated after a dispute over a pre-race agreement at the 1989 San Marino Grand Prix.

The dispute rapidly escalated, with the pair colliding at Suzuka in both 1989 and 1990 when disputing world championships.

Prost had left for Ferrari by the time of the second clash, which Senna subsequently admitted had been deliberate.

Asked if felt Rosberg should apologise for the Monaco incident, Hamilton added: "Why does he have to apologise? He's on pole position."

So, Lewis has decided to go full toddler over it. Toto has called the suggestion that it was deliberate "Bullshit", and claimed not to know that Lewis had aired doubts about Rosberg.

Perhaps I'm being NAIVE (I like this new forum slogan), but this all seems more like a brilliantly-executed mind game from Rosberg.

So is he admitting that he is going to put Rosberg in the wall and show scant disregard for the safety of all the other drivers just because he has a personal beef with a competitor? Or is he saying that he is going to stop any and all communication with Rosberg? Either way he is showing what a complete twat he really is and is just stoking the situation rather than trying to cool it......I just hope Mercedes let them go for it. If not, who do you think will be the one to break team orders first?

Monaco attracts celebrities, both good and bad.

The latter is demonstrated very bluntly here.
