Nicely done. Looks like they might have set him up just a tiny bit less aggressively and it was enough to maintain a steady speed for the whole run.

Great job from Ed, but also from Hinch given his lack of running last week.

Was gutted because I really wanted Hinch to take that after what happened to him last week.

But thinking about it, he probably has a much better shot over 500 miles than Mr Trustfund ahead of him so can't wait for the race.

When's the next track action? :?

So many good cars. Really hope the race isn't a letdown, because it's looking to be a great one.

Really think we're in for a good one.

Also, while I understand it, it if frustruating to see the "Trustfund" statements about Carpenter. He has won a 500 miler before on merit, owns his own team, is fast on the ovals and is a real contender for the 500. He might have money, but all the money in the world doesn't buy talent and he's good when in his element.

He's also improved a lot the past few years.

Early on when he initially moved into the IRL he was pretty useless, But to his credit he listened to & learnt a lot when he had good team mates alongside him at Vision Racing, Tomas Scheckter especially & from that point he improved & has been a front runner on the ovals for a few years now in a few different teams including his own.

He was never that good on the road circuits & again to his credit he gets that & stepped away from them. Maybe a few years later than he could have but I guess he always hoped that he'd eventually be able to figure it out if he kept at it.

Kurt learnt what it's like to hit the wall in an Indycar.
