Punctures are great legit boredom/debri cautions, one of the things that made the COY races good.

The thing about punctures, I sure as hell hope they don't happen at the end of the frontstretch at Michigan. It'd be like Elliott Sadler's wreck there in 2000, just infinitely worse I think.

This weekend should be great, though. The track surface blew some serious chunks when they repaved it in '08, but it's starting to get character, slowly but surely. It's still got that weird shape, and it's still narrow as hell... I'm greatly looking forward to Saturday night, then having all day Sunday to beat Mass Effect 1.

Welcome to 2007, Andre!! :)

More Darly memories:

Dick Trickle beating Jr in the 98 busch race.

Todd Bodine Bodining JMac at the finish of the rain delayed busch race in 2003.

Damn, many good races at this track.

I didn't get to see this live. I was 13 and with my family at the old Riverside Speedway (RIP) in Mass. This was the race Earnhardt pretty much passed out while driving. I remember the rumors were flying around the grandstand at RS that it was a heart attack, stroke, etc. It was crazy.

They need to rewind that replay further back. But knowing ESPN, they wont.
