Since there was no thread for this weekend's races up just yet, thought I'd pitch in and start it. The thread title says it all.

Of course, many of us remember this from last year:

Last year's race was as good of a race as I've seen at California. Can this weekend's race be that good?

I hope it's an awesome race. Last year had great racing start to finish.

Ugh, that poor 40 team. Just pounded the wall between T3 & T4 after something broke. He's fine but the car is pretty well fucked.

Two weeks in a row something fails and takes out their primary car in practice.

Trying to watch Nationwide practice........Kenny Wallace could fuck up a silent movie with his commentary.

These cars look absolutely evil btw, bouncing like a sum bitch.

If they didn't have a mountain of downforce added on top of a pile of side-force, that would really interest me.

It's ok as all that down and side force stops working so well once the tyres wear out a lot like they do here and severly limit your ability to corner fast.

FYI, K&N from Bristol on FS1 at 11:30am EST.

For some reason Kyle Busch didn't go out on track for the first round of Nationwide qualifying, so he's going to have to start from the back, it would appear.

He kept failing inspection. Surprise surprise. They failed 6 times haha.

Still wins the race anyway IMO.

Yeah he'll be in the top ten by lap 20.

I say top 10 by lap 15 the latest. He'll pick up 10 positions in the 1st corner with how slow some of those back markers are. Kyle will just run the high line around them.

Flat tires galore in Cup practice today. Truex blew a RF and hit the wall in the morning. And the Penske cars have apparently had five flats between them today. Logano just scrubbed the wall after his LF went.

It was actually the LR for Truex. And the 22 will also be using their backup it seems.

Kurt just lost a LR too.

Nice to hear them speak their mind on Cup drivers in NW/trucks
