No because he's not a full time driver and he likely wouldn't be in the top 30 in points.

Other than that I think he's also declared for Nationwide points before the start of the season.

Steve Letarte seems to have a plan as to how to fix whatever is dragging on Dale Jr.'s car.

The drivers' and owners' championships both have a chase, so if Hornish wins, the #11 will qualify for the chase but Hamlin wouldn't.
