Especially when they can milk it for so long to build up the hype for the race.

So, wait, Danica Patrick and Tony Stewart will have to start at the rear of the pack on Sunday no matter what would happen in the Duels? I could understand if they blew up after the Duels, but before?

That's a messed-up rule. Bobby Labonte has to race his way into the race, so he won't start and park, but with Danica and Smoke locked in, I don't see why they'd risk wrecking their primary car on Thursday. Maybe having two of the biggest stars in the sport sit out the race because of a stupid rule is what's needed here.

Also... CONSPIRACY. I wouldn't necessarily use the video above as concrete proof, but it's pretty telling. One can't be sure exactly how much length three one-hundredths equates to (or whatever the 78 apparently lagged behind the 3), but that video sure is interesting.

The only way things will change, on a grand scheme, is if Brian France is ousted. Even if the video doesn't tell the whole story, I'm willing to jump on the conspiracy bandwagon as long as the end result is his dismissal from the sport. Maybe we'll get a legitimate points system back then.

Problem is I can't see him being ousted, look at all the shit he's done so far.

Yeaa we can hope but it'll just end up being someone else to take the fall.

Dear TG, please create a NASCAR split

.039 @ 195mph would be roughly an 11 foot difference.

Sure you can.

Math was never my strong suit. Add to that the fact that I grew up with km's and not miles, and you have your answer. Glad you did the math for me, though. haha

So yeah, from eyeballing the video, the 78 certainly does not seem to be 11 feet behind the 3. He kinda looks like he's ahead.

That's messed up, man.

Haha this is glorious. Makes you wonder of Danica's pole was legit last year, or also a publicity stunt.

Remember, NASCAR once punished Robby Gordon by deducting a lap for a crime that never happened, then refused to give it back. They penalised Montoya whilst leading at Indy, despite his tracker showing he never broke the speed limit. And they penalised Tony Stewart for pit lane speeding, whilst he was being overtaken by another car in the pit lane, which was not penalised.

NASCAR has made countless clearly bullshit decisions to suit themselves. Fixing a pole is not surprising.

That Montoya moment still annoys the shit outta me... But yeah showing all those moments it wouldn't surprise me indeed. Maybe they gave him the pole, so it would 'justify' him driving with the #3. I'm sure there must be some diehard Earnhardt fans out there who can't be happy with this little punk driving that number.

Well, they might be able to finaggle a pole run (I've heard that word, felt like using it, not sure of spelling), but getting the stars lined up for him to actually win the race itself would have to be pretty stellar. First off, he'd have to make it without wrecking, and then you'd have to have all the drivers not only agree to go along with it, but trip over themselves at the end of the race as they all try to better their own position without passing the leader.

Not sure if this 4:30-brain (getting off work) described that the way I meant it, but it made sense to me.

You'd never get all the drivers to pass up a 500 win unless you threaten to ban them or something. Biffle however would be more than willing to sit behind.

Some nice video editing going on there from someone who doesn't like Dillon.

People just need to deal with it and move on.

Looking at it, from the very first cut it looks like there's a delay and Truex appears further down the track already. Just how I see it.

I'd like to see someone tell Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart, or someone like that to let someone else win.

Not TG, but it was a rumor a few times that the biggest name in StockCar racing that isn't France considered it.

The forum's resident troll disagrees with everyone.

Shocking.

I saw the Nationwide entry list for Daytona. There was one unexpected entry listed. Johnny Sauter will be in the #80 Goodyear Toyota owned by Shigeaki Hattori. This is also the first Nationwide restrictor plate race in a long time without a James Finch car entered.

Just need to make sure Greg Biffle is second, then you can do what you want :p

I'm not a video expert. I just want to know if it is legit. Please, enlighten me with your vast knowledge.

I saw the truck series entry list. There are 38 entries. Travis Kvapil will be driving the #50 truck for MAKE Motorsports.
