FUCK YEAH!!!! Cosuin Moff 2nd at Bathurst :D

So the winner was stuck in the tires once and 2nd place was stuck in the tires twice....wow, just wow. Most mental race I have ever seen PERIOD, it really had it all and then some.

here is a statistic for you

Paul Morris now has as many Bathurst wins as Whincup....

Granted it includes two class victories and one Super Touring 500 victories, but all are classed as wins

I'm incredibly happy it was a ford win, and a Chaz Mostert victory, and even happier because I picked up $52 off a $4 bet because of it

What a race is really all I can say

Glad I've first watched F1, then the second part of this race. Good decision, very good decision.

Same here. Holy flying fuck did this live up to its name, "The Great Race". This was The Greatest Race! Really, really glad for Oliver Gavin, really, really glad for Nissan, Moffat and Taz Douglas, but most of all, super glad for Chaz Mostert! What a drive! Even if it is quite bizarre that Paul Morris now won the race outright. It doesn't get anymore fantastic than this, right? Umpossibel. Talk about a race that has everything, right?

Woke up to the news Morris won and got into a panic trying to wake myself up from that strange nightmare. Srsly, chaz must have been incredible!

Happy for Gavin and Co too, saving grace for the HRT dramas.

Ford!

Were there new tyres in the barrier at turn 2? 2 flips and a couple of airs....tyre barriers tend to be more springy and flippy when they're brand new

Superblack Racing were hugely impressive staying out of trouble and finishing 11th in their first V8 race as well.

Highlights clip, worth watching even if you saw the race to recall the ridiculous amount of action that happened yesterday.

I know that the Russell Crowe opening to this race several years ago gets a lot of praise and deservedly so, but I thought the opening intro to this race this year was better, it gave me chills.

NASCAR has nothing on V8 Supercars in getting viewers hyped and wanting to watch the race.

Hope someone captured it and will put it on YouTube. If not, I will try. I thought it was that good.

Darcy has an HD version on his site ;)

But yeah, it was epic. Mainly because of the music used (Steve Jablonsky, 'nuff said). The international feed had a different background music due to music rights, and that wasn't anywhere near being good.

Like everyone has already said, this was a great race. Whincup running dry was the icing on the cake.

Bathurst never disappoints.

I thought it was rather fantastic how aggressive Whincup was throughout! It's not like him to not use his brain, but he did some very dumb moves in this one. He's still spectaculary fast, but this time his aggressiveness and the emotions of the race got the better of him. And that is fine by me!

Also, I LOVED how Mostert was SIDEWAYS the last two corners! I was genuinely worried that he would spin out then!

He REALLY wanted that win and didn't want to give anybody another chance at him.

I think he just knew he had it in the bag and did a bit of wheel spinning across the line to celebrate.
