So Lime Rock went from hosting both to nothing? That's just wonderful...

I'm pretty surprised by DPs being more than a second faster than the fastest LMP2. Those performance tweaks really worked.

Listening to Radio Le Mans and they've always thought that would happen, a DP will probably win daytona due to their straightline advantage and how much of that track you spend on the power.

The Prototypes make up more of their time in the corners so expect them to be stronger everywhere else, except perhaps Indy, maybe.

Indy is pretty twisty. There's just one straight and the inside line of a corner left from the oval layout (provided they use it in F1 configuration, that is).

1,5 seconds between DP and P2 at the moment. Can the P2's run longer on fuel is the question?

How are the pit stop rules now? Can you fuel the car and change tyres at the same time?

Thank you for that article. It was a great read. It's a shame Lime Rock won't be on the schedule. What a beautiful place that is. No grandstands make the experience so worth while. Complete freedom to roam around. I work 10-15 mins from it and always enjoy seeing all the cars and transporters roll through when there's a race. Hopefully they will have a race in 2015.

Yea, it's a disgrace. :( And given the points he makes in that article, really makes you scratch your head too.

Politics and money saw the end of Lime Rock. Could easily have hosted one of the split field events but instead we get those disgraceful "tracks" at Detroit and Kansas instead.

Anyway, loving seeing the photos of all those four classes of cars running together. Can't wait to see the 68 car field at the Glen - that's twice the field of previous years.

Detroits not so bad compared to Kansas, they didn't even bother to try to build a proper road course.
