Wow, I have never heard that before Kals. That's reaching current engine prices.

It is astonishing amounts isn't it? But those were the rates at the times for customer teams. Here's the article if you're interested - http://adamcooperf1.com/2010/02/21/the- ... nd-prix-2/

Same as with caterham. Creditors allow them to race to create interest and hope a potential buyer steps in.
Not racing means goodbye money. Racing could mean welcome new investors.

That's a shame, I was hoping it was going to end in a standoff in the pit lane with both teams not wanting to go out but only having to because the other team does.

Why? Caterham would never get the points needed anyway. Marussia would have only had to show up.

Well I thought they'd have to at least complete a lap in 1 session to prove they were part of the event?

Going by what Arrows did when they were about to go under? Not entirely sure they needed to do that.

Ah, but if what you thought is true then they'd have to go out regardless of what the other team did.

I think we might account that in those times there was much more investment in R&D as there wasn't
any freeze and also no limitation of 5 units per year.

It's for the price of current PUs but Prost GP was getting far more for the money, wasn't it?

From what I've understood is that if they miss the final race it voids their 2015 entry. So by not showing up the entire marussia team is worth the parts while caterham (if they show up) is worth an entry

It's called content-marketing. Welcome to 2014 Bernie.

Bernie is clearly going in that part of his life, and it happens to all the great men, where they become more and more senile and they start to make big misjudgements but noone around them has the bravery to tell them. I hope he'll live long enough to bring down this farce f1 is becoming.

next decision could easily be "have the marshalls pay to do their job ( they already do that for free ) cause they get the best seats you can have and still they don't pay a coin"
