Sorry Bernie, the 70 year old rolex clad fan left long ago because he whines about the sport being too artificial and not as good as it was in the "good old days"...

The Kids are all you have left...

If I'm using logic (judging by some prizes on their website), perhaps the GP2 champ fancies a go.

Because we all became fans the second we got jobs and had some disposable income in our 20s

None of us here were ever on this forum, posting about F1 racing in our teens....didn't happen, we had no money of our own so F1 had no interest of us, none of us were watching the races as children and laying the groundwork for the future super fan that was to come.

Bernie certainly knows his fans ;)

Wouldn't it be worth it for Marussia just to bring two cars to Abu Dhabi, and get two pay drivers to drive them, just to collect the prize money for 9:th in the constructors? As far as I understand, they will miss out on that money if they don't show up in Abu Dhabi?

I think its a matter of the creditors willing to risk losing more money with the chance to get a buyer.
If the team gets sold there is a shot of getting their money back. Racing that weekend increases that chance. By not racing the money surely is gone.

Also the administrator might not be too keen on the concept of spending money, thee could also be a clause in the f1 regs that means even if they were to turn up, any new owner may not be entitled to collect the prize money.

Administrators are first in the queue to be paid, etc. etc.

Assuming Bernie's not trolling for the sake of trolling (which isn't out of the question), that's one of the most ridiculous things he's ever come out with. Thinking that you only need to cater to rich pensioners is so short-sighted it's unreal.

I think a team can only use 4 drivers per season, isn't it?
With Ericsson, Kobayashi and Lotterer we can only have one more then

Except for force majure, if all three refuse to drive then they can have a fifth.

Ericsson has formally cut ties. Lotterer has had no contact with the team since he turned down Kamui's seat at Monza and I don't think he'd go back under these circumstances.

Which leaves KK, who hasn't said anything since the team entered administration.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

and Kobayashi wasn't that confident since he was running in a car full of issues hence that suspension pic he posted
