Q&A with Gene Haas about his plans.

at points realistic like expecting to be stuck at the back for 3 to 5 years before they really come to grips with F1 but at the same time he thinks he can become successful without having to spend hundreds of millions or having a staff of 600+ people.

Jenson Button was meant to be on the Graham Norton show tonight (big chat show here in the UK) but had to cancel last minute because he was stung in the face by a bee

Presumably it swelled up, causing his face to have no balance.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

What an aggressive rear end on that bee

Sadly it now has a lot less rear downforce.

And a lot less life too.

and with complete logic.
He wants an experienced driver AND would love to have Danica besides him.
She's light and a women so the talk of the town.

It's not as if they're going to be frontrunners so what better way to get attention than putting a woman in the car.

And crash at every race or cause incidents during practice or/and qlf and hardly make it into the 107% ?

Laughable.

Not saying this because she's a woman, but because she's a mediocre driver.

Well if Chilton can make 107%, I'm sure Danica could.

Indeed every other driver would have been fired by now, but her gender and the attention generated with that (GoDaddy) is keeping her career afloat.

I think you would have a better driver in Simona, but that is also a gamble.

At least you know with Simona she's bloody tough. Doesn't have any of Danica's hissy fits either.

What do these two have in common? Both rely on their daddy's money...

Misogyny ITT

Something I notice from re-watching the race today, during the start crash, Max nudges his team mate off yet if you watch the replays closely you'll see that he escapes the scene of the accident without much damage only to be picked up by the cameras later on down the straight with severe left front suspension damage.

What I'm guessing is he minorly damaged the car in the contact with his team mate before running down the short straight past the chicane a bit more then the thing broke on him pitching him into the barrier, question is why am I having to guess this, how did the director miss that? :?

Yeah he must have hit that barrier there somehow. Maybe he wasn't able to steer or something like that. I had hopes that the FOM post race highlight reel or race edit would include some footage but nothing was shown. Maybe the cameremn didn't get a clear shot of it or missed it completely.

Can't help but feel Danica has single-handedly set back the careers of many women near the top of motorsport. You get decent women like Silvestro and Mann working hard to make it like any other driver does, and then you have Danica 'ooh, look at me, I can drive but you still still objectify me' Patrick lapping up the sponsorship.
