I don't agree. I think it's a coloured wrap around the nose, as opposed to being painted. The wrap has peeled off on contact with the wall.

Don't believe the FIA can make changes to the nose regulations for this year unless they get an agreement from all the teams.

Pretty sure there only allowed to force through big changes to the car design after the start of the year based on safety grounds.

Like them or not we have these noses until at least 2015.

yeh i saw a penis. Only mine. But this is horrible. How did they pass the crash test????
FIA must really define the noses rules.

Ofcourse i cry cuz they destroying everything. First the engines, and now the F1 cars.
But i agree a change was needed, but not the one with cock noses.
On the engines we will get used to it, but the noses are horrible. Specially the Caterham puts them all in the shadows when it comes to uglyness

They passed the crash test because they are strong enough to pass them. They are the shape they are, in most cases, because it is the most efficient way to meet the requirements of the regs, the crash test, and not have the aero performance of a tree.

I mean, seriously - if you can't even appreciate the ingenuity on display here, and the differing solutions to the same rules, it's probably a good thing you haven't seen many 70s F1 cars...

The 70s were beauties compared to these today. But oh well we will have to adopt...
Next year they will have to drive with monster truck tyres...
And again we will have to get used to it...
but when u see it 1st time its a schocker... but later it gets probably ok

I think you're right actually, but I'm surprised they would do that - I would have thought a wrap is much heavier than the weird paint that they use. Maybe they only wrap certain parts?

can't it be one of those paints they use for aerodynamic purpose like viewing the fluxes of air around the nose?
