Why?Its done his job!kept the car on the track and absorbed a lot of energy.You cant build a fence that holds all of the Debries of the stands.Even on the Ovals we saw tyres, posts and even engines flying into the stands.

Again, all we have left now is wild mass guessing. None of us are trained accident investigators despite many years on this forum wildy speculating on crashes.

We'll just have to wait until we're drip fed information from official sources I'm afraid. It sucks because like you, I want to know everything about what's going on and go to bed relieved knowing that everyone involved will be fine, but that's the risk of this sport sometimes, we just have to be patient and keep hoping for the best result.

It did a fine job for that. what worries ne is that whole chunks of fencing ended up in the stands, and also thst a whole tire made it through with good speed.

It did its job very well, but there were some worrying failures at the same time.

The Tyre flew waaaaay over the fence and not trough it.And the fence has to be falling apart, same as the cars, to absorb the energy.If you want a fence nothing gets trough?!Thats not possible,except you build a 5m high concrete wall around every track

I'm just saying that it wouldn't hurt to take a look at it all.
