Hope it rains. The Rock is always fun in the wet.

I'm not a fan of the circuit but it does often produce good races.

Forecast is for showers on Saturday and Sunday currently. First BTCC round I'll be able to watch live in a little while, looking forward to it.

I see Andy Willmot, I think Gary Willmot. A few of us oldies will know who that is.

Wasn't he in some terrible comedy show with Hale & Pace in the 80s?

Believe it or not, even I know who you are talking about. Used to appear on Noel's House Party too.

That's how I remember Willmot, from kids TV.

I've just had a look at today's support series practice results to find a gigantic field of 6, yes SIX, Porsches entered. Oh what fun it will be on Sunday.

This time it's partly their own fault for banning Stoneman.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

I'm still wondering just how the grid numbers dropped away so fast. Wasn't it in the twenties last year? Or somewhere near at least.

There were around 18 cars at most rounds last year. The fact that the current car is in its last year of competition and the strength of GT racing at the moment have really hurt the entries.

The good news is The first Porsche race takes place BEFORE BTCC race 1 so with any luck ITV won't bother showing it.

The bad news is Porsche will probably open the wallet and get them to show it in full :(

And The Rock is easily the most boring track for the Porsches, the tight twisty stuff is not their friend.
Trust me, I know. And TOM knows. And Schumifan knows....zzzzz

Still, might rain, maybe we can smash a couple of them against the wall of The Rock and have the final couple of rounds cancelled due to low grid numbers? :p

There was some mention that Porsche doesn't subsidize the teams anything like as much as they used to.

If only they stopped subsidising the TV broadcast too...
