Race 26 of the Cup season has arrived which only means one thing, One Last Race to Make the Chase. Usually a night of beating and banging at arguably the best track of the year, Richmond.

Will Kurt Busch and Jeff Gordon hold on to their Chase spots and prevent reigning champion Keselowski from making it? Can Logano and Biffle hold on? Will there be a surprise Chase driver?

Keselowski pretty much needs to do a Jeremy Mayfield to make the Chase.

Nationwide also racing, will probably be a Busch or Keselowski show.

Trucks are racing at Richmond's bigger cousin, Iowa. Seems odd that they don't race at Richmond. Would be a great race.

Brad Keselowski needs to win at Richmond and have Truex Jr. finish 13th or worse and Newman to finish 8th or worse to make the Chase.

So, Chase Elliott will be racing at Iowa. Will be interesting to see if Dillon holds true to his word that Elliott won't be finishing the race.

Also, Steve Wallace is in the race, watch out!

Did Dillon actually say anything to that effect? I don't recall him making any statement like that during his interview post-race. Just talked about the incident.

Yea, it's a shame that the trucks don't go to Richmond too anymore but thank goodness for Iowa, which you could argue is even better but we'd want both on the schedule ideally.

Not a huge fan of the Dillons, but it was wrong for Elliott to do that.

Iowa needs a Cup race badly. 43 cars going into T1 would be a sight to behold.

Sadly Bruton thinks 1.5's with no tyre wear is the way to go.

Nah, he included tyre wear in his rant about boring racing last year, I think. Note how his tracks are the ones with the most character still while ISC can't wait to repave all of theirs. Even the ill-advised move to reconfigure Bristol wasn't his but the late Jeff Byrd's, who regretted it for the remainder of his days. :(

He did? I remember he said something about cautions, that's about it.

That race at Bristol was a great one, proved that softer tyre is the way to go. It seems that Goodyear insists on bringing diamonds to every track.

I had to do some research about Steve Smith, who is driving the #12 truck at Iowa. It appears that he's a dirt track racer out of Tennessee. He finished 2nd in the Eldora Million dirt late model race in 2001.

Jimmie Johnson's wife had a baby girl this morning. He will be missing all of today's track activities. Smith will drive the 48 today.

So that means the 48 will start from the back tomorrow night.

Last time Brian Scott was at Richmond, Nelson Piquet kicked him in the junk. Tonight, he's on the pole for the Nationwide Race.

Jeff Gordon won the Sprint Cup Pole, edging Kurt Busch. Brad Keselowski is starting 3rd. That should make things interesting tomorrow night.
