I've been hearing so much talk on radio and tv about wanting to move the race back to July 4th. More so this year than ever.

So that means running the race on a Wednesday or Tuesday sometimes? I dunno how you do thing over there but I can't see that being successful.

The race was always run on July 4th, regardless of the day, until 1988.

oh I didn't realise that

Are we really worried about attendance at NASCAR events?

Race attendance has been on a steady decline for years.

Yea I get that but why do we care about how many people go to the race? The product NASCAR is putting out right now doesn't deserve to fill the seats.

There goes Rusty claiming he flipped "end over end 23 times" at Dega in 93. That has to be about the 15th time I've heard him use the number 23.

maybe it's his pin number, 2393, and that's how he remembers it...

Rusty: "Oh what's my PIN again?"
Mrs Rusty: "What's that crap you say on ESPN?"
Rusty: "I flipped end over end 23 times at Dega in 93"
Mrs Rusty: "Yup...."
Rusty: "....."

There aren't speechmarks big enough to imply how much hinting you're doing there.

Remember how much of an event this weekend used to be? Almost like DEGA Mk 2?

*sigh*
