Bubba is talented, but he needs to figure it out how to keep it together and at least finish races.

Maybe if he didn't drive at 10/10ths all the time, he wouldn't always end up in a crumpled heap.

That was totally unnecessary racing that hard when you know you've got a pit stop for 2 tires coming up...

lol @ the inconsistency. The 7 smokes the tires while getting sliding, yellow comes out. Then the 18 crashes, when leader is on the white flag, with parts of the truck flying off, no yellow.

Yeah I saw the 18 wreck, didn't see the lights, looked at the flagstand and thought "really?" when they kept the yellow in hand.

Fun race. First time I've been to a track in about 4 years. Quite enjoyed the day.

First practice is over at Kentucky. Kevin Harvick is quickest so far...

Jeff Gordon was 5th quickest, while Denny Hamlin was back there with Danica Patrick in the high 20's. Usually, it's the other way around, and Jeff's weekends get off to a brutally slow start. Coupled with JWT's bitchin' save last night, are we in some kind of Twilight Zone this weekend??

I hope Kez can get back to running in the T10 and it looks like Kurt is quick yet again. Hopefully he can close the deal soon.

Nationwide Quals:

Dexter Stacey spun on his get up to speed lap, then crashed in the same corner on lap 2 of his run.

Jeremy Clements crashed extremely hard in turn 2 on his first lap.

Pastrana P2.

Nothing as "HUGE" as the title suggests but still a somewhat sizable hit:

Matt Crafton saying he has nothing to lose and isn't going down without a fight, sort of makes me think he's going to do something like this:

edit: Never mind. Brad wins and does doughnuts in the rain. Awesome.

was kind of hoping we went the whole race without a single post.

the crowd looks historically small, even before the rain.

It was an okayish race, but I don't think it was going to get any better even without the rain.

When there's this many posts, it's getting bad. The Nationwide Series is back in it's slump. I'll admit, last year I got excited, this year fucked it back to 2011. They need to put a 5-10 race cap on Cup guys.

If I'm Nationwide, I don't want to extend sponsorship. "Sprint Cup" guys are dominating my series. I want guys to be "Nationwide" guys. Sorry but I'd back out. It's like it's Sprint Cup Lite in the Nationwide Series. If I were Nationwide I'd say it's our series or ask Sprint to sponsor this too..

disclosure: I'm drunk, don't know if that made sense. Neat.

What an idiotic stat by TNT.

Of course Jeff hasn't won at Kentucky. THEY'VE ONLY RUN THERE TWICE.
