After the epicness of Talladega comes NASCAR's most difficult, most unforgiving and most treacherous track, Darlington Raceway. Its not the traditional date for the Southern 500 but its still one of the most difficult oval races around.

The G6 has been more cautions, more wrecks and more post race drama. Hopefully this track delivers again with many a Darlington stripe and other drama.

The race in 2009 here had 17 caution flags and took over 4 hours to complete.

Nationwide's also racing here as well, expect Busch to win if he enters.

That finish is still one of the greatest I've ever seen in any form of racing.

Kinda depressing when you realize it was the last win for Pontiac and the "Tide Ride" in Cup.

Both amazing participants in NASCAR.

How fantastic would it be if Tide sponsored Harvick at SHR next season?

Rumor has it that Budweiser will continue to sponsor Harvick at SHR.

The finish the next day (or was it later the same day, I can't remember) in the rain delayed BUSCH race was even better.

Fun Fact: this was the first attempt at a live BUSCH race on Motors TV.
Well, they did cross over live, just in time for the announcement that the race would be postponed until Monday.

Then FOX started showing the 02 race instead, much to everyone's confusion who tuned in a bit late.
But then we'd not seen that race either so it was almost like a live race to us! :p

The P&G are now using Gillette brand only in a NASCAR.

Danica already wrecked her primary car. Vickers fastest in N'wide happy hour. So far, 1 backup car and about 3 Darlington stripes. Shame there's no fall race here anymore...

Motors TV choosing not to interrupt their incredible and jaw-dropping Friday / Saturday middle-of-the-night line-up to show the race live.
