NASCAR being consistent with the rules sucks when it costs your driver the win.. :flag:

Kasey Kahne won that race.

Fucking this.

That yellow flag served absolutely no purpose other than to alter the finish of the race. Literally, two seconds would have elapsed before they had crossed the finish line and then they could have pushed the button. Anybody behind was not going to slow down regardless. They never do. This is bullshit.

And if they wouldnt have thrown the Caution and someone would have been T-Boned and died in the process everyone would blame Nascar.

Get used to it.In Terms of Safety its the right Decision!!

If Regan was screwed by that, there would've been monitors out the window

If that were the case, they should have thrown the yellow the instant the first car got turned across the track.

I'll agree with this.

NASCAR will let the Cup guys ball their cars up coming out of 4 all the time and let the race play out, yet they do that? That's some shit.

How about you guys tell me how I'm wrong instead of bullshitting and calling me a whiner.

Shit like this is why NASCAR is the laughingstock of professional sports.

The guys running 25th on back in Cup are usually mature, experienced drivers who have ended up in not-so-good equipment. They can be trusted to behave appropriately.

I would not trust Nationwide backmarkers to behave in the same way.

The Yellow was maybe for Nascar's consciousness. By not putting the Yellow at the end, they basically allow drivers to continue fighting full speed to the finish line. In that scenario, we often saw cars spinning being hit at max speed and thrown away in the air (and in the catch fence now and then). I agree that the yellow will not stop drivers to rush to the finish full throttle but at least Nascar can say they waved the yellow flag (and maybe give penalties who knows...).

Thank you for responding instead of just being condescending.

I can see the sense in that argument, but couldn't they have at least let the leaders cross the line? That has been the presedence for a while now.

It was a hell of a finish, I just feel like Kahne got robbed. We can agree to disagree, it just pissed me off when people just dismiss an argument by posting a stupid meme picture in response.

Now, I need to drive home from Reno, so I'm going.

Who cares who won, this event is clearly all about the entertainment. It ended it with a big bang, just the way we want. NASCAR understands it, that is why they shortened it and let them race in the dark with almost zero visibility. Next year we need more cars, more crashes and more flips!

I have to agree Nationwide has the most exciting package right now, it always ends up being a crapshoot and when the dust settles they are all wrecked. It is fun to watch, but at the same time it is scary and almost has nothing to do with real racin', plus I'm pretty sure most of the drivers aren't a big fan of it. You kinda get tired finishing the race in the grass on the tri-oval with a burning wreckage.

No matter how it ended, anyone upset about Regan Smith winning a race at Talladega should be kicked in the shins.

I honestly can't be mad at NASCAR trying to be consistent with the rules. Calling the race at the last scoring pylon was the consistent call.

Though I do prefer the race to the line, like it used to be.

When you're dealing with DEGA, it's only inevitable.

But at the end of the day, it's no big deal. There's another race tomorrow (I hope).

Yeah, but we've hit our high watermark tonight, sadly.

Tomorrow it'll be all single file for 90% of the race then a blue balls finish. Callin' it.
